Mass Covid vaccination camps held

Mass Covid vaccination programmes continued at various places across the State today.
Khundrakpam
A mass vaccination camp was held today at Pukhao Khabam organised by Pukhao Khabam 2nd Wave COVID-19 Task Force under the supervision of MLA Th Lokeshwar in collaboration with DC and CMO Imphal East.
A medical team was sent-to the village by CMO Imphal East and 188 people of the village, which is approximately about 90% of the eligible locals of the village, were vaccinated against COVID-19, said a statement issued by the task force.
W Premjit Meitei, publicity secretary of the task force appealed all the villagers who are yet to receive their vaccination to get visit nearest vaccination sites to get their jabs.
The locals also thanked Th Lokeshwar, DC Imphal East and CMO Imphal East for all the help in organising the vaccination camp, added the statement.
A mass vaccination camp was also held at Khundrakpam Makha Leikai Community Hall yesterday organised by Yaipha Lamjing Lup (YLL) under the supervision of MLA Th Lokeshwar.

association with Khuman Leipakki Lamyanba Kanglup (KLLK) Club organised a mass Covid vaccination programme at Mayang Imphal Thana Wangkhei Leikai today under the aegis of Deputy Speaker Kongkham Robindro.
In today's programme, around 450 (four hundred and fifty) persons were vaccinated and Kongkham Robindro who is also the MLA of Mayang Imphal AC came and inspected the vaccination programme.
Speaking on the occasion, K Robindro stressed on the importance of Covid vaccination which is one of the most precautionary measures against the deadly pandemic and appealed to all eligible individuals who are above 18 years of age to get vaccinated.
Stating that the Covid positive cases and fatalities continues to rise at an alarming rate in the State amid the various measures taken up by the Government, he called for concerted efforts from all to overcome the ongoing pandemic effectively by strictly adhering to guidelines and SOPs issued by the authorities concerned.
Office bearers of BJP Mayang Imphal Mandal and SDC of Mayang Imphal, Rani Kamei were also present on the occasion.
