Imphal, June 13 2024: Inspector General Assam Rifles (South) distributed daily essential items to Internally Displaced People (IDPs) at the relief camp at S Kwatlian village, Churachandpur district on Wednesday.

During the event, the soldiers interacted with residents, reassuring them of their commitment to the well-being of the people of Manipur.

They promised to continue providing all possible assistance to those in need, conveyed PRO IGAR (S) in a release.

On the other hand, in an effort to uplift the local community, a 15-day pre-recruitment training capsule for the local youth of Ukhrul and Kamjong districts was conducted by Assam Rifles from May 18 to June 12 at Shangshak village in Ukhrul district.

The attendees were assessed through a final test conducted on Wednesday which included a written exam and a physical test, the PRO informed.
