Workshop cum DIY on zero waste commences

Kakching, February 08 2025: A two-day workshop cum Do It Yourself (DIY) projects of schools students organised by Manipur Pollution Control Board (MPCB) and Path Finders, Manipur on the topic 'Zero Waste: Composting, Recycling and Alternative to Single Use Plastics' has commenced at Sanatombi High School Keirak on Saturday.

The opening function of the workshop, which is the first of its kind planned by MPCB for this year, was attended by MPCB member secretary Dr W Roshan, informatics officer Laishram Homenjoy and Eco Network Manipur president Laishram Sintha as presidium members and resource persons.

The workshop was marked by planting of saplings at the school campus and hands on training to students on making fertiliser from wastes.

Later, a workshop on 'Zero Waste: Composting, Recycling and Alternative to Single Use Plastics' was conducted for women at Keirak Makha Leikai community hall.
