38 uncensored films to be screened at EIIFF-2025

Imphal, February 04 2025:
With the 2nd edition of Eikhoigi Imphal International Film Festival-2025 (EIIFF-2025) all set to take place from February 6 to 9, Manipur State Film Development Society (MSFDC) secretary B Sunzu Sharma said that 38 out of 54 films listed for the festival are uncensored.
People interested in viewing the uncensored films will have to procure delegate pass or else will not have opportunity to view the films, Sunzu told media persons during a press conference on Tuesday and urged interested people to procure delegate pass.

He said that screening of uncensored films require prior approval from the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and the ministry has so far approved 36 uncensored films for screening at EIIFF-2025 .
The ministry is yet to approve one Syrian film and an Indian film, which are highly sensitive but expects to get the approval at the earliest, he said.
