Electric hardware shop gutted in fire

Imphal, October 23 2021: An electrical hardware shop located at Lamphelpat was gutted by fire that broke out around 2 pm on Saturday.

Properties worth, around Rs 5,00,000 have been reportedly turned into ashes in the inferno.

The ill-fated shop was located on the ground floor of a three-storey building.

A team of Manipur fire service rushed to the spot and prevented the fire from spreading to other floors of the building.

Unfortunately, the shop and the items inside could not be saved.

Owner of the shop is identified as Daya Luwang Laiphongbam while that of the building as Harindra Koijam.

Three fire tenders, AFT Bolero and pump Bolero were used in extinguishing the fire, the cause of which is still unknown.
