AR conducts Agniveer registration, school competition

Imphal, April 27 2025: Assam Rifles conducted Agniveer registration drives under the Agnipath Scheme across Moreh in Tengnoupal district from March 15 to April 26 .

According to PRO IGAR (S), informative sessions were organised for the youth of Moreh ward number 1 to 9, Chavangphai, T Yangnom and surrounding villages, providing detailed guidance on eligibility criteria, selection process, and benefits of joining as an Agniveer.

Assam Rifles assured continuous support through access to essential resources, mentorship and preparatory training.

On the other hand, with the aim to promote academic excellence and sportsmanship among school children, Assam Rifles organised an inter-school volleyball and quiz competitions at Sehlon village on Friday.

The competition conducted for both girls & boys witnessed participation of 200 students from various schools from Sehlon and surrounding villages, including Kovang, Aiboljoupi, Wayang, Old Samtal and Tu-itang.

Senior officials from Assam Rifles felicitated the winners and motivated the students to strive for excellence, the PRO added.
