Manipur dairy farming impresses Nigeria agency

Imphal, October 20 2024: Sahel Consulting Nigeria consultant Afees Adekunle Adeoye has stated that dairy farming practices of Manipur has shown the future of dairy farming in Nigeria.

Consultant Adeoye shared his views as a team of Nigerian Dairy stakeholders visited Royal Dairy Farm located at Phougakchao and Manipur Milk Producers' Co-operative Union Limited located at Porompat on Sunday as part of study tour in India.

The consultant commended those working in the dairy farms as highly skilled and experienced.

Moreover, the most commendable things about the dairy farms are their ways of producing milk in hygienic manner and distribution of the milk by co-operative, he added.

The unabated milk production despite facing serious inconveniences because of the ongoing conflict in the state is worth mentioning, he continued, while adding that the model practice by dairy sector in Manipur will be successful when implemented in Nigeria.

The consultant further observed that milk production in Manipur could be increased with additional infrastructures which will subsequently enhance the overall economy and profit of the farmers.

Adeoye also opined that people of Manipur are friendly and the foods are delicious, with the pleasant climatic condition supplementing its scenic charm.
