Cdl/Kak/Tbl, June 14 2021: Many organisations and individuals continue to provide assistance during this difficult time of COVID-19 pandemic.

Chandel
A team of BJP 41 Chandel Mandal Executives led by its President and executives of BJP 41 Chandel Mandal Yuva Morcha visited and distributed energy drinks to all the frontline workers at Chandel District Hospital Covid Care Centre and Chandel Sports Complex Covid Care Centre yesterday.

In a press release, BJP 41-Chandel Mandal said that while interacting with the medical team, it was learnt that all their daily breakfast, lunch and dinner were sponsored by SS Olish member of BJP and former MLA.

Dr Serthani Serbum, CMO of Chandel thanked SS Olish for her concern and providing major meals to all the medical team, security personnel and Covid patients at the Covid Care Centres opened at Chandel district.

She further stated that SS Olish assured to support other basic necessary requirements to tackle Covid cases in the Covid Care Centres.

BJP 41-Chandel Mandal also extended gratitude to SS Olish for her generosity and wished her a blessed future.

Thoubal
Heirok Block Congress Committee COVID-19 Fighting Unit distributed relief items to containment zones of Heirok Assembly Constituency continuing its initiative of extending help to villages within Heirok A/C.The relief items were distributed to around 187 households in the containment zones in Polling numbers 33/ 16-Salungpham Kangyambem (A), 33/21-Heirok part 1 Heitupokpi, 33/22-Heirok part 1 Heitupokpi (B), 33/23-Heirokpart 3 Ngarouthel, 33/24-Heirok part 3 Lamlongmariphangba, 33/25-Heirok part 3 Lamlongmariphangba Mamang, 33/29-Heirok Part 2 Khunou, 33/34-Heirok part 2 Mayai Leikai by the volunteers of the Unit adhering to Covid SOPs.

The secretary of 33/23 Polling Unit L Joy Singh extended gratitude to Heirok Block Congress Committee COVID-19 Fighting Unit for helping the people within the containment zones and prayed that such noble gesture to continue in future as well.

He further appealed to all to strictly follow the Covid SOPs and guidelines issued by the State to combat the COVID-19 pandemic effectively.

The Wangjing Tentha Kendra Development Committee extended gratitude to RK Khogendrajit Singh, Joint Director of Veterinary Thoubal and convenor of Community Home Isolation Centre (CHIC), Wangjing Tentha Assembly Constituency for providing breakfast and other edible items to inmates of the three CHICs opened in the Constituency.

The edible items were provided to CHICs opened at Wangjing High School, YK College at Wangjing and Lalit Madhop Sharma High School at Khongjom.

Kakching
Mayengbam Ranjit Singh distributed vegetables to 250 families qf Kakching Phoushupat Leikai today.

Mayengbam Ranjit, who contested the election from Wabagai AC in the last election, said the vegetables were distributed to the families to ease the problems faced by the families due to the curfew and lockdown like measures imposed by the Government in the wake of the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The restrictions imposed has resulted in unavailability of vegetables for day today consumption, he added.

The distribution of vegetables was carried out by Mayengbam Ranjit with active participation from members of Friendship Sporting, Club (FSC), Kakching Phoushupat Leikai to the families of the locality.

He also urged everyone to observe all the SOP as mandated by the Government including wearing of masks, observing social distancing and washing hands regularly and getting vaccinated at the earliest in order to win the war against the pandemic.
