Kanglei Mime's 'Chitheng' staged in Germany

Imphal, November 08 2022: Kanglei Mime Theatre Repertory's mime play 'Cheitheng' was presented in the 37th International Pantomime Theatre Festival held in Germany from November 2 to 6 .

Representing India in the festival, the play 'Cheitheng', which was presented on the last day of the festival, won the appreciation of the audience, filling the auditorium with thundering applause.

Michael Menial, who took main role in organising the festival, praised the play as it took him to another realm.

After their successful performance, the 15-member troupe of Kanglei Mime Theatre Repertory led by its director Dr Yumnam Sadananda will be arriving in Imphal on Wednesday.

The theatre repertory has appreciated the people of the state for their support, individuals extending monetary help to them and ICCR for booking 10 flight tickets of the group.
