ACA celebrates, felicitates star alumni

Imphal, April 25 2023: The 24th anniversary cum prize distribution & felicitation function of Association of Commerce Alumni (ACA), Department of Commerce, Manipur University, was held at the conference hall of the department on Tuesday.

MU vice-chancellor professor N Lokendra, ACA president professor Robita Sorokhaibam and MU department of commerce head professor N Tejmani attended the function as chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.

Along with distribution of prizes to the winners of 21st and 22nd state level accountancy competitions for Class XI and Class XII students, the star alumni of the department - MU registrar professor W Chanbabu, NIT Manipur registrar professor Kh Tomba and MU finance officer Elangbam Nixon were felicitated on the occasion.

The ACA Life Time Achievement Award, 2023 was also conferred to Dr Md Kheiruddin Shah, retired associate professor of DM College of Commerce, Imphal for his contribution in the field of commerce education in the state.

The new executive members of ACA, for the term 2023-2025 were also elected in the general body meeting held after the event.

The general body meeting unanimously elected Dr O Deepak Kumar as president, Angom Kama as vice-president, Mairembam Rajeev as general secretary and Alice Mongjam as publicity secretary.
