Kpi Area Covid Task Force organises 'Mask Kangpokpi' campaign

Kangpokpi, May 22 2021: Kangpokpi Area COVID Task Force, one of the seven area wise COVID Task Force in Kangpokpi Assembly Constituency constituted by the local MLA to combat the dreaded COVID-19 second wave conducted a 'Mask Kangpokpi' campaign at Kangpokpi DHQs today.

The Kangpokpi Area COVID Task Force along with the other six Area COVID Task Force were entrusted to ensure strict compliance to COVID advisories or guidelines by the public in Kangpokpi AC .

They were also entrusted to monitor price hikes of essential commodities in their respective areas and to generate COVID-19 awareness among the people.

The Kangpokpi Area COVID Task Force led by its president, Haolet Khongsai and general secretary, Hekim Hangshing conducted the 'Mask Kangpokpi' campaign today in the district headquarters to ensure that the SOPs and guidelines of COVID-19 are strictly followed by the local populace in the town.

The Task Force also distributed face masks to the people coming out of their home without face masks and cautioned them to not venture out without wearing face masks in future.

Speaking to media persons, Haolet Khongsai said that the task force has started monitoring the area by initiating the 'Mask Kangpokpi' campaign and assured that the task force is prepared to carry out various other activities including ensuring COVID appropriate behaviours, price hike, etc.

He mentioned that they have started sealing the containment zones that have been declared in the area with the assistance of the concerned authority.

Random testing would also be conducted for anyone found loitering in the area without any reason after obtaining permission from the concerned authority, he asserted.

Haolet Khongsai further appealed to people of the Kangpokpi area to contact the Kangpokpi Area COVID Task Force for any case related to COVID-19 .

The Kangpokpi Area COVID Task Force also extended their appreciation and gratitude to the local MLA for providing various personal protective equipment including face masks, Sanitizer, gloves, PPE kits, etc.
