Imphal, March 15 2022: Prof W Gopimohan of Lions Clubs of Imphal has been elected as district governor of District 322D for the year 2022-23 during the 43rd District Conference 'Ullash' held at Jorhat on March 11 and 12 .

A press release of Lions Club of Imphal informed that Dr Shantanu Lakher and Th Ke-sho Singh have been elected as vice-district governor I and II, respectively.

W Gopimohan is the fourth district governor from the state.

Prior to this, he had served as vice-district governor-II during the year 2020-21 and vice-district governor I during the year 2021-22 .

W Gopimohan will be sworn-in as the district governor at Lions Clubs International Convention to be held at Montreal, Canada from June 23 to 28 .

It is widely expected that under the able leadership of W Gopimohan as district governor, the district would prosper more and provide more service for the betterment of humanity, the release added.

Born at Wahengbam Leikai, Prof Gopimohan had worked as professor and HoD in Surgery Department, RIMS Lamphelpat.

He also worked as vice-principal of Agartala Government Medical College and medical superintendent of JNIMS, Porompat, it said.
