Imphal, December 05 2022:
A national convention for state and central government employees organised by Joint National Convention on December 8 in Delhi to discuss issues faced by government employees.
According to a release of the Convention, the right to life of the government employees in this era of neo liberal policies is at stake as the right has been taken over by the powerful corporates.
With the implementation of contract and fixed term recruitment procedures even during recruitment process in the Indian Army and civil services, the job security of these employees now remains at the discretion of the employers.
To raise these issues and bring about solutions to these problems, the Joint National Convention has decided to organise the national convention at Talkotara Stadium in Delhi.
The convention raise demands including annual removal of NPS and PFRDA Act; regularisation of outsourced/daily wage employees; filling up of vacant posts in central and state governments/PSUs; immediate halt to corporatisation/privatisation of PSUs; constitution of eighth pay commission; release of DA/DR including confiscated arrears; and providing democratic rights of trade unions.
