TYCM to hold public meet on February 1

Imphal, January 28 2025:
The executive council of Tribal Youth Council Manipur (TYCM), General Headquarters has decided to hold a public meeting at Tarung community hall at 11 am on February 1 to discuss further course of action following alleged inaction by the state government on issues related to tribal people.
As per a release by TYCM-GHQ Media & Information Department, the meeting will deliberate on non-conduct of the pending elections to the Autonomous District Councils (ADCs), vacant posts in the Directorate of Tribal Affairs & Hills, Tribal Research Institute (TRI), Manipur State Commission for Scheduled Tribes (MSCST), and Manipur Tribal Development Corporation Ltd (MTDC), non-regularisation of nine contractual staff in the Manipur State Commission for Scheduled Tribes (MSCST) and nomination of two MSCST members on December 26, 2024, without due advertisement or an invitation for applications and other tribal issues.
TYCM-GHQ appealed to leaders of youth clubs, civil society organisations (CSOs), intellectuals, social Workers from tribal communities, and former ADC members to attend the meeting.
