Govt urged to look into Umathel primary school

Imphal, July 19 2024: MSF Kakching district president Alex Thounaoujam has warned of launching intense agitation if government authority fails to address the deplorable condition of Umathel Primary School, Kakching.

A team of MSF Kakching inspected the Primary School and found only 180 students present while rooftop of the school building was found perforated thereby causing inconveniences to both teachers and students during rainfall.

President Alex told media persons after the inspection that relevant authorities haVe been apprised about the present condition of the school but no action has been forthcoming till date.

He said that MSF does not take lightly the worsening condition of the school and appealed to relevant officials including ZEO and AI to take up necessary action including repairing of the school building immediately.

He then warned of launching intense agitation along with students and teachers of the school if the government fails to look into the school at the earliest.
