Training on disaster response begins

Noney, November 14 2022: A 12-day training programme for community volunteers of Noney district in Disaster Response, which is being implemented by Nation al Disaster Management Authority in partnership with Department of Relief & Disaster Management/State Disaster Management Authority (SDMA), Manipur under Up-Scaling Aapda Mitra Scheme (Friends during disaster) kicked off at Longmai Bazar Town Hall in Noney district headquarters on Monday.

Altogether 50 participants, both boys and girls from different parts of Noney district, are tak-ing part in the training programme, which was inaugurated by Noney ADM Stiff Khapudang in the presence of SDMA Manipur director KG Daigong.

Training on river rafting, rope climbing & repelling, fire & gas fighting, landslides & earthquake, first aid, etc., will be imparted to the participants during the training period.
