Imphal, June 13 2024: Department of Home has advised internally displaced persons (IDPs) to provide details and particulars of the properties owned by them and submit the same in prescribed format to DC/SDO/SDC concerned.

In a notification issued on June 10, special secretary (Home) Jaspreet Kaur informed that IDPs residing outside the state can submit details and particulars of their properties in the prescribed form through the offices of deputy resident commissioners of Manipur Bhawan, Kolkata and Guwahati or resident commissioner of Manipur Bhawan, New Delhi.

Chandel and Tengnoupal district administrations have also informed internally displaced persons (IDPs) residing in relief camps and other places in the said districts to submit details of their lands, which require protection due to the law-and-order issues, in the prescribed format to office of deputy commissioner concerned within June 19 .

In separate notification, ADCs of Chandel and Moreh informed that the process has been initiated in pursuance of the order issued by Land Resources Department on June 6 and as per directive of the Supreme Court regarding protection of landed properties of the IDPs.
