Khorirol Sandoklup celebrates, awards authors

Along with celebrating its 47th foundation day, the Khorirol Sandoklup, Wangjing honoured various individuals, on Saturday.
The event was attended by Institute of Rural Edu cation, Wangjing principal Dr Narengbam Rajivkumar, Khorirol Sandoklup, Wangjing vice president Shaikhom Chaoba and Manipuri Sahitya Parishad, Thoubal branch president Moirangthem Rajendra as chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.
The ceremony commenced with offering of floral tributes to those who sacrificed to uphold integrity of Manipur, followed by release of the annual journal "Ethil" and a book titled "Wamei Gi Meiriduna" by Laishram Shyamo.
Among the awards presented, the "Ibotomba Ningshing Sahitya Sebak Mana", for the year 2024, sponsored by Moirangthem Rajendra in honour of his father, was presented to Yambem Satya Singh of Kakching and Tekcham Ra-meshwar of Wangjing.
This award included Rs 5000, citation, and shawl.
The "Dr Soibam Kumar Ningsing Sahitya Mana-2024," recognising contributions in criticism, culture, and folklore, was presented to Dr Oinam Chaoba Meitei of Oinam for his book "Kan-gleida Mukna Amashung Machat" .
The award, sponsored by Soibam Sunitibala in memory of her late husband, included Rs 10000, citation, and shawl.
The "Kamini Kush Loidang Ningshing Khorirol Mana-2024," given to writers of poetry, short stories, and novels, was awarded to Khundongbam Gunamani Leima of Heirok for her book "Eegi Lei-e." Sponsored by Tekcham Rameshor in memory of his parents, the award carries Rs 5000, citation and shawl.
The "Khori-Lup Best Book of the Year" for 2024 was awarded to Moirangthem Kulachandra for his book "Chumthang Makhongda Ngairamge" .
This award, presented by Khorirol Sandoklup Wangjing to encourage association writers, included Rs 5000, citation and shawl.
The "Thokchom Amuba Sashtri Ningsing Khorirol Mana" for 2024, sponsored by Thokchom Luxmi in honour of her mother, was awarded to Keithellakpam London of Pourabi for his book "Amanba Hi" .
This award included Rs 10000, citation and shawl.
Lastly, Kshetrimayum Subadani of Kwakeithel received the "Moirangthem Kunjamani Devi Ningshing Khorirol Mana" for her book "Ashengba Iral," which also include Rs 10,000, citation and shawl.
