4th Chandel Mini Marathon Run Chandel Run on March 15

Kakching, March 03 2025: The 4th edition of the Run Chandel Run -Chandel Mini Marathon, will be organised on March 15 by Assam Rifles in association with District Sports Association Chandel and Wisecrabs Chandel.

The competition would be held for Under-16 Boys and Girls, Open category, Dream Run for men and women above 45 years of age and Open Category Cross Country.

The race for the first three categories will start from Thoruwl Turf, Liwa Sarei and culminate at Maha Union Government Higher Secondary School in Chandel town covering a distance of 5 km.

The top three winners in all the categories will receive cash prize of Rs 5000, Rs 3000 and Rs 2000 respectively along with medal and certificate.

There will also be 7 consolation prizes.

The Open Category Cross Country for men and women will commence from Heibunglok (Changnhe) Village Gate and finish at Maha Union Government Higher Secondary School.

The first, second and third prize winners in this category will be handed over cash prize of Rs 10000, Rs 7000 and Rs 5000 respectively along with medal and certificate.

The said category will also have seven consolation prizes.

The forms for the competition may be had from 21 AR Eden Book- Cafe Chandel and Thoruwl Turf.

The first hundred early bird registration will receive T-shirt.

Olympian boxer and Arjuna awardee Laishram Sarita Devi, who is also SP of Manipur Police Sports Club has been appointed as the Marathon Ambassador for the 'Run Chandel Run' .
