Weeklong workshop on AI concludes

Imphal, April 27 2025:
A weeklong workshop on "Big Data, Cyber-security, and Artificial Intelligence" organised jointly by Liberal College, Luwangshangbam and NIELIT, Imphal concluded at the College on Saturday.
Organised under the 'Future Skill Prime' project and sponsored by C-ADC, NIELIT and NASCOM, the closing function was attended by NIELIT, Imphal executive director Dr Yumnam Jayenta Singh as chief guest.
In his speech, Dr Jayenta stressed the need for specialisation and increasing research capabilities and project development skills, while assuring NIELIT's support for future academic collaboration.

Liberal College principal Prof N Sanjoy Singh said that teaching faculty needs to understand the trend of AI through capacity building.
There is also need for proper upgrade of curricula; improving question setting, lesson plan, and evaluation methods and incorporating tools like rubics, he added.
In all, 68 faculties from different colleges attended the workshop, where experts held sessions with participants from Big Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, Cyber-security, Financial Analysis and Python applications.
