Wayfarer inspects saplings he planted

Wayfarer Manikanta Mutum, who had planted 1000 saplings when he walked through various districts of Manipur and Assam from September 10 to November 10, 2021 to spread the message of staying away from drugs and protection of the environment, on Saturday checked the saplings he planted in Jiribam district as part of his tour to monitor the growth of these saplings.
Speaking to media persons, Manikanta noted that people plant saplings during various events but no one sees to it whether the saplings have survived or not.
But in his case, he is carrying out surveys on the conditions of the saplings he had planted starting from April 6.While expressing elation that the saplings he had planted at Ningshingkhul Bio Diversity Park in Jiribam are in good condition, Manikanta conveyed gratitude to Ningshingkhul Committee and further informed that he will be visiting Cachar, Assam on Sunday for his next leg of survey.
