SUK organises tree plantation programme

Imphal, September 13 2021: Students' Union of Kangleipak (SUK) has launched a three-day tree plantation programme under the theme 'Let us make Kangleipak Green' along with planting tree saplings at Ibudhou Puruksoubi Laiphamlen, Kongba on Monday.

The tree plantation programme is being organised in relation with its 10th foundation day to be held on September 18.The union will carry out plantation programmes at various sacred religious sites of the state during its three-day long programme, informed a statement of SUK.

The statement also informed that the union donated hand.sanitiser, mask and Limcee tablets to All Manipur Working Journalists' Union (AMWJU) on Monday with the objective to help media persons, who are carrying out their selfless services of disseminating information to the masses amid the Covid-19 pandemic.

They will further provide similar items to the print and electronic media houses of the state, it added, SUK also informed that it is planning to organise youth leadership camp and provide assistance to Old Age Homes, Children Homes, Blind School and community Covid isolation centre till September 18 .
