AR rescues missing girl child in Chandel district

Exemplifying its unwavering commitment to community service, Assam Rifles located and rescued a missing child after 72-hour search operation, according to PRO IGAR (S).
In a release, the PRO informed that on January 27 evening, an 11-year-old girl with special needs, affecting her cognitive and communication abilities, went missing from Sehlon village, Chandel district.
At about 7:45 pm, the village chief along with the child's parents urgently sought assistance from the Assam Rifles, requesting immediate support in locating the child.
In response, Assam Rifles launched a rapid and thorough search operation, deploying both foot patrols and aerial surveillance to track the missing child.
After three days of relentless and coordinated efforts, Assam Rifles successfully located and rescued the child, who was promptly administered first aid and medical care at the unit hospital by the Assam Rifles' medical officer.
The family was also provided with essential material assistance to ensure the child's well-being, the PRO informed, adding that the grateful family and the entire village expressed heartfelt thanks to Assam Rifles for the swift and efficient response.
