Students interact with footballer Panthoi

Students interacted with international footballer Elangbam Panthoi Chanu on Sunday as part of the 503rd edition of Special Sunday programme organised by Library and Information Centre (LIC), Kakching.
During the programme held at LIC's Phoushupat Leikai auditorium, Panthoi, who is the daughter of E Chinglenkhomba Meitei and Shanti Leima of Keirak Makha Leikai, recalled her footballing journey from schooling days till present time as an international footballer.
She also shared struggles faced in reaching the stage she is presently in, along with answering questions from students.
It may be mentioned that Panthoi started her footballing career from Women Football Academy, Kakching and is currently playing as goalkeeper of Metro United Women Football Club, Adelaide City, Australia.
The programme participated by around 200 students was also attended by her mother and Keirak Gram Panchayat Administrative Committee chairperson E (o) Shanti Leima and LIC members Yambem Satya Singh, Naorem Nimai, Kshetrimayum Tomchbu and secretary Kshetrimayum Joykumar.
As part of the event, a sports quiz was conducted by Ksh Joykumar and prizes presented to 20 students who answered correctly.
Later, Panthoi signed autographs
for the students.
