Imphal, April 27 2025: District Health Society (DHS), Thoubal will organise a district level painting competition for students of Thoubal district under National Programme for Prevention and Control of Deafness (NPPCD) on May 1 at Waikhom Mani Girl's College, Thoubal Okram.

In a release, DHS, Thoubal district mission director and CMO Dr Y Nokul Singh informed that the competition will be held in two categories - class V to VIII and class IX to XII - under the theme 'Changing Mindsets: Empower yourself to make ear and hearing care a reality for all'.

Top three winners in both categories will receive cash prize of Rs 5000, Rs 3000, and Rs 2000 respectively while the fourth and fifth position winners will be awarded consolation prize of Rs 500 each.

There will be a special prize for participants with hearing disabilities, it said, adding that interested students may contact DNO, NPPCD, at District Hospital, Thoubal Room No 35 and DHS, Thoubal/CMO Complex, Thoubal during office hour for relevant details.
