Imphal, May 24 2021: Lok Sabha MP Dr RK Ranjan along with Hiyanglam MLA D Y Radheshyam inspected Health and Wellness Centre at Langmeidong where COVID-19 vaccination started from Monday.

Both the MP and MLA assessed the vaccination of 225 people at the Health and Wellness Centre and appealed to people to get the vaccine so as to prevent from contracting COVID-19 and make Hiyanglam AC free from the infectious virus.

MP Dr RK Ranjan said that people in rural area of the state do not fear of COVID-19 vaccination and appealed to local MLA to take up necessary steps to vaccinate people voluntarily at Health and Wellness Centres.

Lack of awareness and carelessness on the part of people led to the second wave of COVID-19 in the state, he said and maintained that COVID-19 could be avoided if everyone takes precautionary measures in time.

He also appealed to workers of the MLA to take necessary steps to ensure that poor people get rice sent by the Prime Minister.
