State reports 22 new dengue cases

Imphal, October 20 2024:
The total number of dengue cases in the state has reached 1,641 with confirmation of 22 new cases, according to the latest update from health authorities.
The report also said that there is no new fatality reported in the last 24 hours.
Imphal West continues to be the hardest-hit district with 1,154 cases, including 11 new cases in the past 24 hours, and a total of three deaths.
Imphal East follows with 338 cases with eight new cases.
Bishnupur and Ukhrul districts reported two and one new case respectively in the last 24 hours.
Other affected districts include Bishnupur with 53 cases and one death, Thoubal 48, and Kakching 25 cases.
Less affected areas include Kangpokpi, Ukhrul, Chandel, Noney, and Tamenglong, with only a few cases reported.
Notably, Churachandpur, Pherzawl, Jiribam, and Tengnoupal have not reported any dengue cases.
Despite the overall rise in cases, there has been no increase in dengue-related deaths in the last 24 hours.
The health authorities continue to monitor the situation closely, urging the public to remain vigilant and adopt preventive measures to control the spread of the disease.
