Firing at editor Loyalakpa's house condemned

Imphal, July 19 2024: Clubs and Meira Paibi groups of Kontha Khabam have strongly condemned unknown persons opening fire at the residence of Naharolgi Thoudang editor Khoirom Loyalakpa Meitei on the intervening night of July 15 and 16 and demanded clarification from the group involved in the attack.

Addressing media persons at Manipur Press Club, here, on Friday, Kontha Khabam Mamang Leikai Meira Paibi secretary Thoudam Sumati said that Khoirom Loyalakpa Meitei has been shouldering responsibility for the society for a long time as an editor.

She said people of Kontha Khabam strongly condemn threat to life of Loyalakpa and demanded clarification from the individual/group involved in the life attempt on the editor.

The press conference was also attended by Kontha Literary & Sporting Club secretary Ningthoujam Opendro Singh.
