Imphal, February 19 2023: Manipur Vintage Film Revival Committee has started digitisation of old Manipuri celluloid films for digital archiving and future reference.

Informing this in a press release, the committee said that it is taking up the task to revive old Manipuri films.

Reels of some of the old movies are degrading with the passage of time and people are no longer able to watch these films again in digital format, may be in DVD or YouTube.

The committee completed digitisation of the 1984 celluloid film 'Yairipok Thambalnu' and released it in 2K resolution to the public.

The him will be screened again at MSFDS auditorium on March 5, he said, adding that further details of the show are available on the commit tee's Facebook page.
