Imphal, November 08 2024: To promote sports and foster community spirit, Assam Rifles distributed sports items to youth from remote villages of Keinsing, Namlee and Bunpun near the Myanmar border.

Assam Rifles personnel handed out essential sports gear, including footballs, volleyballs and other sports kits to youngsters of these villages.

This outreach initiative aims to provide children and young adults opportunities for recreational activities, encourage youth participation in sports and foster positive engagement within the communities.

Villagers thanked Assam Rifles for supporting youth involvement in sports through the distribution of these items, PRO IGAR (S) said in a release.
