Many mourn demise of Dr Sorojini

Kakching, July 08 2024: Condolences poured in from different quarters mourning the untimely demise of retired Art and Culture director Dr Kh Sarojini Devi, on Monday.

The Writers' Association, Kakching and Representatives of Lois (RoL), Kakching in separate statements expressed heartfelt condolences over passing away of Dr Sorojini, terming her departure as a great loss for Manipuri Kala Sanskriti.

The executive committee of the association held a condolence meeting on July 4 and observed 2-minute silence as a mark of respect to the departed soul and also prayed for her soul to rest in peace.

Meanwhile, RoL also observed a condolence meeting at its Kakching office where a 2-minute silence was observed and shared the grief and sorrow of the bereaved family.
