Imphal, April 27 2025: As part of the World Immunisation Week which began on April 24, a special vaccination drive was conducted at the Directorate of Family Welfare Services under the theme 'Immunisation for All is Humanly Possible'.

The drive held under the aegis of Family Welfare Services director Dr N Hemantakumar was organised in collaboration with State Health Society, NHM, Manipur.

Speaking in connection with the drive, state immunisation officer Dr Ksh Memcha highlighted the importance and effectiveness of timely vaccination in protecting the children from various diseases.

She also advised parents to be inquisitive on diseases that can infect children below two years of age and to ensure timely inoculation of their wards so as to help the government in eradicating diseases such as measles and rubella from the state.

As part of the event, children from Thoubal Bazar and surrounding areas were vaccinated.
