Thawai Mirel to boycott 'Mann Ki Baat'

Thawai Mirel has'threatened to boycott Prime Minster Narendra Modi's 'Mann Ki Baat' monthly radio speech broadcast on All India Radio if the PM fails to take action against elements attacking indigenous people of Manipur especially Meetei.
In a release, Thawai Mirel convenor Th Dara proposed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi visit Manipur to assess the real issues and ground situation prior to the Parliament session scheduled to commence from July 22.Moreover, he should address the issue related to attacks on indigenous people of Manipur especially Meetei community and central security forces by Kukis coming from neighbouring country and initiate launch of military crackdown on such terrorist acts.
He said that they are prepared to boycott the PM's 'Mann Ki Baat' which will be broadcast on July 28 not only in Manipur but by people outside the state who believe in the 'Idea of Manipur' .
