Tiddim Road bandh plan suspended

Imphal, October 15 2024: The Joint Action Committee (JAC) Against the Suspicious Death of Yelem Subhachandra Singh has suspended its proposed bandh along the Tiddim Road following invitation for meeting by minister Dr Sapam Ranjan.

According to a statement issued by the JAC convenor, minister Dr Ranjan invited the JAC representatives for a meeting with the chief minister on October 17 following which the JAC held an emergency meeting on Tuesday and unanimously decided to put on hold the proposed bandh along Tiddim Road till October 20 .

The statement further mentioned that if the state government fails to meet the JAC's demands by October 20, it will enforce blockade on Tiddim Road from 5 am to 5 pm on October 21 .
