Imphal, July 08 2024: Manipur Government Services' Federation submitted a memorandum to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi during latter's visit to the state on Monday.

The memorandum submitted through MPCC president K Meghachandra highlighted various issues being faced by government employees in Manipur for ready reference and early settlement.

The issues highlighted in the memorandum included non-release of pending DA/DR of 18 percent, non-scrapping of NPS, non-restoring the OPS, non-regularisation of contract employees for years, non-release of monthly salaries timely; Pensions and Pensionary benefits (Gratuity, Leave Encashment, Commutation, GPF etc.) and non-filling up all the vacancies in state government departments.

The memorandum also highlighted other issues like not extending of jobs opportunity to educated youth, failure to check price rise, non-strengthening of the.Public Distribution System, etc.
