Noney commemorates Indo-Naga FA pact

Noney, August 03 2025:
Like in other Naga-inhabited regions, a commemoration ceremony marking the signing of the historic Indo-Naga Framework Agreement on August 3, 2015 between the Government of India and the National Socialist Council of Nagalim (NSCN), was held on Sunday at Longmai Part-3 multipurpose hall, Noney-district headquarters.
The event was organised by the Zeilad Zeliangrong Region of (he NSCN.
During the programme, DG Robert, a member of the NSCN's Collective Leadership, addressed the gathering and spoke on the significance of the Indo-Naga Framework Agreement.
A mass prayer was also held for the well-being of the Collective Leadership, GPRN, national workers, the Naga people, and the Government of India, with hopes for an early solution to the Naga political issue.

In his welcome address, Lansinga Kamei, Steering Executive member of the GPRN, extended greetings to all present.
The event was attended by leaders from various Naga civil society organisations, village authorities, religious leaders, and other public figures.
It may be mentioned that the Framework Agreement was signed on August 3, 2015 in New Delhi between the Government pf India and the NSCN, in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The agreement was signed by RN Ravi, the Government of India's interlocutor, on behalf of the GoI, and by NSCN leaders Isak Chishi Swu and Ih Muivah On behalf of the NSCN .
