Naturopathy, yoga prog concludes

The National Institute of Naturopathy, under the Ministry of AYUSH, in association with Khongnangthaba University, conducted a two-day Continuing Medical Education programme to educate AYUSH practitioners of North East on current trends on Naturopathy and Yoga, at the university's Khurai Konsam Leikai auditorium on Saturday.
Organised on the theme "Recent Trends in Naturopathy and Yoga", the closing ceremony was held with varsity's dean Dr A Guneshwor Sharma, controller of examinations Prof N Ibotombi and Kangleipak Foundation Trust chairman Kh Jayanta as presidium members.
An MoU was also signed between the institutions during the programme to promote Naturopathy and Yoga practice in the region.
According to Dr Guneshwor Sharma, the MoU will only facilitate the people of Manipur but the entire Northeast India to avail the facilities and study courses on naturopathy and yoga at Khongnangthaba University instead of pursuing the same in distant Pune.
"This is one move forward in bringing holistic health practices closer to the people in our region," he added.
The eVent was marked by celebrations and distribution of certificates to the participants, informed the university in a press release.
