Senapati river inspected during clean-up campaign

Senapati, February 19 2025: Senapati district administration carried out an inspection at Senapati river on Wednesday during the Clean Senapati River Campaign.

The campaign was led by Senapati ADM Rang David Kung and Autonomous District Council, Senapati CEO Adahrii Maheo along with police department, Senapati District Students' Association, and Karong Senapati Town Committee.

During the campaign, the team identified different locations where pollutants are disposed directly into the river and strict warning was issued to stop such activities immediately.

Besides, people residing along the river bank were sensitised about the ill effects of polluting the river and the need to preserve the lifeline of the district HQ .

It may be mentioned that various activities such as awareness programmes along with locality leaders and residents, and cleanliness drives will be taken up in the coming days as part of the initiative.

The district administration sought the support and co-operation of all the people in preserving the Senapati river and supporting the initiative for a clean environment.
