Kakching, August 10 2025: Anal Naga Government Employees' Welfare Association (ANGEWA), Chandel, on Saturday released its constitution aimed at safeguarding and promoting the interests and welfare of Anal Naga government employees in Chandel district.

The constitution was released by Anal Naga Tangpi (ANTA) president Ps Monihring during the Constitution release-cum-farewell programme held at Chandel Christian village community hall.

Speaking on the occasion, Monihring emphasised the importance of education and the role of government employees in advancement of the Anal community.

Welcoming the delegates, incumbent president Dr Bd Thumdal Anal said ANGEWA was formed about two years ago with the aim of safeguarding the interests and welfare of government employees of the Anal community.

Informing that there are over 600 members of the association, he urged them to play a vital role in uplifting the community.

Besides release of the constitution, a farewell programme was organised for the outgoing executives of the association attended by representatives from each government department in which Anal community members serve, including Chandel Additional SP (L/O) Ts Chamna Anal, retired assistant professor Hb Ruwnghnem, Chandel ZEO in-charge Hb Starson, and ALT GHQ president Bd Ningwar, among others.
