Teachers petition Guv to resolve DMU crisis

Imphal, July 10 2024: Teachers' Forum DM College of Arts, Dhanamanjuri University (DMU) has submitted a memorandum to DMU chancellor Governor Anusuiya Uikey demanding initiation of measures for resolving the present crisis in DMU and restore normal academic environment in the interest of the students.

The memorandum pointed out that Dhanamanjuri University has been witnessing irregularities in the academic and administrative functioning of the university for the last six years.

There have been occasional volatile situations emerging due to non-appointment of full time vice-chancellor, registrar, controller of examinations and finance officer, apart from incompetent and non-committed individuals holding various offices in the university, inability to conduct examinations and declare result in time, inability to issue marksheets and certificates in time and improper allocation of duty and authority in DMU administration, it added, while urging to take up necessary steps for resolving the crisis.
