BJP holds workshop on enrolment campaign

Senapati, September 01 2024: BJP Senapati district organised a membership enrolment campaign workshop at its district office, Old Road, Senapati on Sunday which had the participation of BJP state spokesman MK Preshow Shimray, who is also Senapati district enrolment in-charge, and vice presidents Yuh Jonathan Tao and Hopingson A Shimray.

In his speech, Preshow Shimray clarified that the BJP is not opposed to minorities or the Christian community but is committed to supporting the marginalised groups unable to access various government schemes.

Through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system which utilises Aadhaar Enabled Payment System (AEPS), the BJP ensures that government benefits and schemes are credited directly to the beneficiaries' accounts without any intermediary deductions, unlike the past system, he added.

Preshow then announced that a nationwide enrolment initiative would commence on September 2 starting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and national president JP Nadda, followed by state chief ministers and party presidents.

Subsequently, party workers will initiate mass enrolment drive.

The event was attended by senior party leaders and district-level party workers, all displaying a strong commitment to strengthening the party and contributing to the welfare of the district's denizens.
