Seminar conducted on 'Career and admission guidance: An invitation to Social Science'

Imphal, July 31 2021: Zeliangrong Students Union, Manipur (ZSUM) and Highland National College, Kanglatongbi jointly organised an online seminar on 'Career and admission guidance: An invitation to Social Science' yesterday.

The online seminar was attended by Prof Ajailiu Niumai, Head of Department, Centre for the Studies of Social Exclusion and Inclusion Policy (CSEIP), Hyderabad Central University; Dr Tasongwi Newmai, NERIE, NCERT, Shillong and Akanksha Tiwari, Indian Defense and Estate Service, Ministry of Defence as resource persons, said a statement of ZSUM.

The session was chaired by Dr Roselima Kamei, Assistant Professor, HNC.

Addressing young people freshly out from schools and colleges who are at the threshold of making important decisions in life, the resource persons highlighted the need to maintain discipline, passion and consistency in any discipline or career they choose.

NK Alunbou Newmai, chairman ZSUM gave the vote of thanks and urged to organise similar programmes in the future for the welfare of the students.

The seminar concluded with Poujenlung Gonmei, Principal, Highland National College extending his appreciation to the participants, resource persons and all involved in making the seminar a success.
