Private schools conduct exam in Jiribam

Jiribam, October 29 2021: Though government schools are remaining closed due to COVID-19 pandemic, some private educational institutions in Jiribam district are conducting examination.

Amidst the restrictions imposed by the government to prevent spread of COVID-19, online classes are being conducted for both government and private schools while students of government schools are getting rice under Mid-Day Meal scheme from their respective schools.

Though few government schools are conducting online class, almost all private schools in Jiribam district are conducting online classes.

Some private schools had already conducted examination while some private schools are preparingto conduct physical examination.

Some private schools had conducted examination through online while some are preparing to conduct physical examination.

Saddened by this difference in mode of conducting examination, some parents/guardians whose children could not attend online classes opined that the examination is only for students who could afford to join online classes or take tuition/coaching classes conducted by some schools in secrecy.

They also fear that all schools in the district may conduct examination just like some private schools which are preparing to conduct physical examination in secrecy.
