Kakching, April 27 2025: District Child Protection Unit (DCPU), Kakching in collaboration with Yaipha Thourang Village Level Federation, Wangoo Sandangkhong organised one-day awareness cum sensitisation programme on child protection at Wangoo Sandangkhong community hall on Saturday.

Organised with the support of Kakching district administration, the programme was attended by Wangoo GP administrative committee chairperson Laishram Deven, MSRLM, Kakching district-Langmeidong Block Cluster co-ordinator Khaling Mithourong, Mirage Foundation, Imphal West secretary Tanuja Rajkumari and DCPU, Kakching Gajoo Rajkumari as presidium members.

During the programme, Child Welfare Committee, Tengnoupal member secretary Darngam Khaling spoke on the topic 'Prevention of Child Marriage and POCSO in the Community', and State Child Protection Society (SCPS) programme officer Mala Lisham on 'Prevention of Illegal Transportation and Human Trafficking' as resource persons.
