Distribution of relief item continues

Several organisations continued to distribute relief items to help in easing the burden of the people amid the grim situation of second wave of COVID-19 pandemic in the State.
AMUCO
All Manipur United Clubs' Organisation (AMUCO) and EKTA Parishad distributed essential items to 264 underprivileged families in Thoubal and Kakching district today.
As a part of its continuing effort to provide assistance to deserving families during such times, AMUCO in collaboration with Ekta Parishad distributed the essential items including edibles were distributed to the most underprivileged families of the areas.
22 families from Langathel Chingkhong Leikai, 60 families from Langathel Thingel Leikai and 45 families in Langathel Moirang in Thoubal districts; 10 families in Kairenbikhok, 52 families in Nongpok Lourembam; 35 families in Wabagai Mairenbam Leikai and 40 families in Laimanai Chinjil (Pallel) in Kakching districts were benefited at today relief items distribution.
Keirao
To provide some relief amid the difficult situation of COVID-19 pandemic, former pradhan of Keirao Gram Panchayat Mutum Romeshchandra alias Ngangbi started distributing essential items to households of Keirao Bitra and Langdum from today.
The essential items which included potatoes, onions, salt, fermented fish etc were distributed to around 1400 households in co-ordination with the volunteers of local clubs namely Irilbung Library Union, Youth Development Centre Club, Litan Makhong Youth Club and Keirao Khunou Youth Development Organisation.
PCC Co-opted member Keisham Ningthemjao distributed relief items including mask, sanitizer and edibles to BCC volunteers at Laimanai Top Chingtha today.
The relief item distribution was organised in collaboration with Laimanai Youth' Club Yairipok (LYCY) Covid Task Force to mark the 51 st birthday of Rahul Gandhi.
In addition to this, Keisham Ningthemjao also donated tin sheets for roofing to a needy family today in the presence of Mahananda Nungleppam, president Manipur Pradesh Youth Congress and members of Covid Task Force (LYCY) and BCC.
Kakching
In continuation of the assistance provided to the people, volunteers of COVID-19 Tengbang Lup Kakching distributed essential food items at Girl's Children Home in Kakching Chumnang Hospital Road and Mission Blind School Kuraopokpi today.
It may be mentioned that COVID-19 Tengbang Lup Kakching was constituted by Nahasinggi Khongthang (NK) and Kakching Khunnai Chaokhat Hanba Lup (KKCL) to aid the people during these health crisis.
Thoubal
Forest, Environment, Climate change & Sericulture.
Minister, Awangbow Newmai and Outer Manipur Parliament MP, Dr Lorho S Pfoze also provided food items at Covid Care Centre No 2, Kodompokpi Sports Complex and Covid Task Force of Wangjing Tentha AC under Thoubal district yesterday.
The food items provided by the NPF Manipur State Unit were handed over by social worker Aslam Raj to the representatives of Covid Care Centre and Covid, Task Force.
