Imphal, August 19 2024: Lieutenant General Abhijit S Pendharkar, General Officer Commanding (GOC) Spear Corps, made his first visit to Manipur, specifically the Red Shield Division at Leimakhong.

According to a statement issued by PRO Defence, the GOC reviewed the internal security situation and operational preparedness during his visit to Leimakhong Military Station, Yaingangpokpi, and Bishnupur.

He held discussions with the Red Shield Division GOC and formation commanders on the challenges and operating environment in the state, focusing on a roadmap to assist in restoring peace and stability.

The GOC praised the ranks for their professionalism, commitment, high morale, and neutral approach, the statement added.
