TNAI condemns assault of nurse

Imphal, June 13 2021: Trained Nurses' Association of India (TNAI), Manipur State Branch has condemned the assault on a nurse by a doctor, and said that it is a violation of professional ethics.

In a statement released by TNAI Manipur State Branch president N Tangbi Devi, the Association condemned the physical assault on a nurse on duty by a doctor at JNIMS Hospital on June 9.It appreciated the state government and JNIMS authority for taking the matter seriously and initiating disciplinary action against the erring doctor.

The release further said that if health care teams were to work together, the care of patients would be more successful.

As such, the Association appealed to all concerned to ensure such incidents are not repeated.
