CCpur, June 12 2024:
Kuki Inpi Manipur (KIM) has termed the guidelines issued regarding Permanent Housing Scheme for the Internally Displaced Persons initiated by the Government of Manipur as inimical to interests of entire Kuki-Zo people.
The KIM leadership discussed the scheme minutely during its executive meeting held on Tuesday and resolved not to accept it.
KIM also intimated all the displaced people belonging to Kuki-Zo community not to accept the scheme initiated by Manipur government.
According to a statement of KIM issued by its information and publicity secretary Janghaulun, the decision was made to ensure that there is justice, peace and security for Kuki-Zo people in the face of the wanton discrimination and persecution.
It asserted the Kuki-Zo people will not compromise any attempt to infringe on their rights to justice, fairness and equality, and will therefore willingly resist any plan or initiative before arriving at a permanent political solution to the ongoing crisis.
