Toyota Kirloskar launches 'Green Wave Initiative'

Imphal, July 10 2024: Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) launched the 'Green Wave Initiative' as part of its commitment to corporate environmental responsibility, resonating with a rising awareness of green practices.

As part of the Toyota Environmental Challenge 2050, TKM distributed over 7000 saplings to employees during this year's Environment month in pursuance of TKM's goal of creating a harmonious society with nature.

TKM executive vice president & director of manufacturing B Padmanabha said that its sustainability efforts, in line with Toyota's Global Environmental Challenge 2050, extend beyond product innovation to encompass comprehensive environmental stewardship.

Employees actively participated in planting and nurturing these saplings, fostering community engagement in environmental initiatives.

The Green Wave Initiative' underscores TKM's commitment to promoting sustainable practices and nurturing a greener future for Imphal and beyond, he added.
