Bishnupur, May 08 2025: The month long observance of World Red Cross Day 2025 organised by Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), Bishnupur District Branch concluded on Thursday at Bishnupur DC conference hall.

The valedictory programme was attended by outgoing Bishnupur deputy commissioner and IRCS Bishnupur president Lourembam Bikram, chairman Dr W Gulapi, Bishnupur ADM T Opendro, IRCS Bishnupur executives and volunteers.

Speaking at the event, DC Bikram commended IRCS Bishnupur branch for actively serving in the public interest, including during the ongoing conflict in the state by organising blood donation camps and distributing relief materials at relief camps along with participating in National Programme on Control of Blindness event, livestock vaccination, etc.

Bikram also confided that after his transfer from the district, he will urge the new deputy commissioner to oversee activities of the Red Cross Society in the district.
